Industrial Screw Pump

A screw pump is a positive displacement pump that transports liquids through closed cavities generated by the rotation of screws. Its core components are intermeshing screws (rotors) and screw bushings (stators). The screw performs a planetary rotation around the stator axis in the stator cavity, and the closed cavity formed between the rotor and stator displaces along the screw thread, continuously pushing the liquid from the suction end to the discharge end.

Product Features of Industrial Screw Pump

  • Strong Self-Priming Capacity: The suction vacuum height can reach 8.5 m, suitable for high-vacuum working conditions.

  • Wide Conveying Range: Capable of conveying materials with a solid content of 60% and liquids with a viscosity up to 1,000,000 cPs.

  • Stable Pressure: The pressure range is 0.6-9.6 MPa, and the flow rate has a linear relationship with the rotation speed, making it suitable for use as a metering pump.

  • Low Vibration and Noise: No agitation, shearing, or turbulence of materials during operation, suitable for noise-sensitive scenarios.

  • Corrosion and Wear Resistance: Adopting stainless steel (models such as 304/316) rotors with a surface hardness of up to HRC 55-60, adaptable to corrosive or high-temperature media (120℃).

Application Fields of Industrial Screw Pump

  • Petroleum and Chemical Industry: Used to convey fuel oil, lubricating oil, and corrosive liquids, as well as to handle high-viscosity or particle-containing media.

  • Power and Energy Industry: In the power industry, it is used to convey media such as fuel oil and lubricating oil; in the petrochemical field, it is used to convey corrosive liquids and high-viscosity materials.

  • Construction Machinery: Applied in the hydraulic systems of equipment such as excavators and loaders to provide power for driving actuators.

  • Agricultural Machinery: Used for liquid transportation in irrigation, fertilization, and spraying operations, meeting the needs of farmland water conservancy.

  • Plastic Processing: Conveys molten plastic in injection molding machines and extruders to ensure stable transportation of molten materials.

  • Mining and Metallurgy Industry: Conveys materials such as ore pulp and mud, adapting to medium treatment under harsh working conditions.

  • Environmental Protection and Municipal Engineering: Used in environmental engineering scenarios such as sewage treatment and sludge transportation.

Working Principle and Key Features of Industrial Screw Pump

  • Working Principle:

The working principle of the screw pump is based on the rotational movement of the screw and the sealed chambers formed by meshing, realizing the suction and discharge of liquid by changing the volume of the sealed chambers. The screw pump consists of a screw and a bushing. When the screw rotates, its spiral groove and the inner wall of the bushing form a closed sealed chamber. As the screw moves axially, the sealed chamber shifts from the suction end to the discharge end, and the liquid is continuously conveyed.

  • Key Features:

Stable Flow Rate with Minimal Pulsation: Conveyance through continuous sealed cavities results in almost no fluctuation in flow rate, suitable for precision metering (e.g., fuel injection, chemical additives).

Smooth Conveyance and Low Shear Force: The liquid is axially propelled without turbulence, making it particularly suitable for transporting sensitive media (such as emulsions, juices, polymer solutions).

Strong Adaptability to High-Viscosity Media: Capable of conveying liquids with a viscosity of up to 1,000,000 cPs (e.g., heavy oil, asphalt, resin), with efficiency far higher than that of centrifugal pumps.

Strong Self-Priming Capacity: Can quickly form a vacuum for self-priming even during dry operation (suction lift up to 8-9 m).

Impurity Resistance (Single-Screw Pump): Single-screw pumps (rotor + stator structure) can convey sewage and mud containing solid particles (particle size ≤ 40% of the stator pitch).

Low Noise and Vibration: The moving parts have good balance, and the operating noise is usually < 70 dB (in contrast: centrifugal pumps are approximately 85 dB).

Stable Pressure Output: Can provide high-pressure output of 0.6-30 MPa (mostly used in hydraulic systems).
